Such a great experience renting a whole lodge to ourselves. My family had such a great time, it is so spacious and cozy. There was 16 of us with a mix of adults and kids and the rooms were the perfect amount. They had everything we needed for our stay to keep us busy. I lost track of my phone the 1st night and didn’t even care to look for it. It was a perfect family getaway. – Karyn

We rented this house with many friends and had so much fun! The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to relax! Amazing industrial kitchen where we all cooked together. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for 16 people-or even more. We enjoyed the entertainment in the bar one afternoon and all was cleaned up well afterwards. Really can’t say enough good things about the house AND Dan. Jeff was away but Dan made sure we were comfortable and all our questions were answered quickly! We cannot say enough about Jeff & Dan’s place! Our family of 15 had the greatest time during our annual holiday getaway. The house was SO big and perfect for our mix of adults and children. The living/dining room space was a great spot for us all to gather and feel cozy. The fire stoves kept us warm and made a pleasant ambiance. I don’t think I realized there would be private or shared bathrooms for so many guest rooms. It was wonderful. This was our fourth year renting a home together and we definitely think this will be a house we want to come back to. – Jessica

We loved our stay at Jeff and Dan’s Airbnb! The downstairs is spacious and fun, the perfect place to host many people for a meal. The kitchen is large and well-stocked with everything you need to cook a delicious meal. The beds were comfortable and everyone (all 7 adults and 9 children) had the space that we needed. We visited during the few days just after Christmas, and we were thrilled to discover that they had decorated the space with lights and a Christmas tree. There are a few snowmobile/hiking trails nearby that we enjoyed exploring during the day, and at night, we had fun playing darts and billiards in the old bar area. Most of all, Jeff and Dan were incredibly proactive, communicative, and friendly. Whenever I had a question, they responded with a detailed reply within an hour (often, sooner). We feel lucky to have had the opportunity to spend a few days with our extended family at this airbnb, and we definitely hope to visit again in the future. Thank you, Jeff and Dan! – Jocelyn

We stayed for the weekend for my son’s wedding that was being held across the road at Pine Lake banquet hall. We had enough space for the whole wedding party and the additional guests that would stop by and makeup/hair people. The space was absolutely perfect for our event and we are so thankful this was available.
The building is older, but was clean and spacious. One of the upstairs bathrooms struggled at times with water in the shower and the toilet flushing. A guest mentioned two of the beds were a little too firm. But others loved their rooms and slept great.
I wouldn’t let either of these stop you from booking the place, we are already thinking of coming back for a vacation or maybe a holiday family gathering! The hosts, Jeff and Dan, were wonderful to speak with and very accommodating. Thank you for sharing your rental with us!! – Manda

The Pine Lake Lodge was EXACTLY what my group was looking for. The space held 10 guests with plenty of room. The spacious backyard was perfect for enjoying the Summer weather, and the indoor space was great for holding us over when the rain came. Jeff and Dan couldn’t have been better hosts. Their communication was fantastic and they were more than willing to go above and beyond to ensure our stay was exactly what we were looking for. I’d recommend the Pine Lake Lodge to anyone looking in the area, and I know everyone in my group would be happy to be back! – Justin

Pine Lake Lodge is the perfect place for family gatherings. It’s large and made for entertainment. Whether you’re outside enjoying a game of volleyball or frisbee, horseshoes or corn hole, there’s something for everyone. Our family had some intense volleyball competition that will be remembered forever, or at least until the muscle pain goes away!
The kitchen is fantastic for serving up the meals we cooked. I originally had visions of sharing cooking duties with other family members, but in the end, most of us just enjoyed being together and cooking with each other sharing cooking tips and of course sipping wine and laughing. My niece Brandy cooked the most amazing Chicken Riggie’s!
Other things we really enjoyed, were the hike up to Nine Corner Lake, a pristine lake at the top of the trail and golfing at the very close by Nick Stoner’s Golf course.
My compliments to the hosts, we met Jeff in the beginning and Dan at the end. They were so very friendly and helpful. – Bryan

Pine Lake Lodge exceeded our expectations for our summer vacation with our family of 13! There was plenty of space to spread out or gather for meals and family time. The large commercial kitchen was perfect for cooking, the massive TV and living room were great for evening movie nights, and the game room provided great entertainment with many dart and. pool games. Beds were very comfy! The Lodge location was perfect with Pine Lake Beach just a short walk across the street and the beautiful, private Nine Corner Lake less than a mile hike right from the Lodge. We actually hiked and swam there 4 or 5 times during our stay it was so pretty! There are several local stores within 5 miles and several restaurants also. We also loved the outdoor area, playing lots of volleyball and Cornhole. I highly recommend the pontoon boat tour Dan, our host, offers of Caroga Lake! Super fun! Dan and Jeff have made Pine Lake Lodge a comfy, fun, and great vacation destination! THANK YOU SO MUCH! – Jill

Our entire family enjoyed our time at the Pine Lake Lodge. It’s hard to find a nice place for a large group and the lodge fit the bill! Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of space to spread out or be together and a commercial kitchen that had everything one needed and then some. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We played darts, pool and lots of our favorite card game – pitch! We went swimming, walking, hiking, fishing, golfing and visited a few local “hotspots”. We only had one or two minor issues and Dan, one of the owners, was quick to take care of them. He was extremely friendly and easily available. As mentioned in other reviews it does get a little warm on those hot days but there were lots of fans which made it more than tolerable. The lodge and area has a lot to offer and kept us all busy. We loved our stay and are planning to come back next year! Thanks Dan and Jeff for having a lovely place to vacation! – Jody

I cannot say enough good things about Dan, Jeff, and their property!! First, the property: The Lodge easily accommodated our group of 15 gathered for our annual family vacation. It was clean & comfortable. The common spaces, kitchen, bar areas, and bedrooms made it easy to be together, or apart, and all under one roof. Which is a great thing with a large group. And with the enormous back yard, one really doesn’t need to leave the property to have a great time.
Pine Lake Beach and 9 Corner Lake hiking trail are within easy walking distance. Scenic and safe.
Our stay happened to be during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Fortunately there were lots of fans, which made sleeping bearable. It would have been nice to have AC, but we made due, and didn’t let it affect our fun. Jeff and Dan were amazing hosts, immediately responding to any request or need. The Lodge has some vintage, but its rustic charm makes it homey and welcoming. We’d definitely come again. – Christina

This lodge was absolutely perfect for our 16 person annual trip. Everyone had lots of space, and the commercial kitchen made shared meals so easy to store and prepare. We can’t wait to be back. – Samantha

The place was great! We had a full house and the space accommodated. The commercial kitchen made things easy, the bar was a great place to hang out, and the game room occupied the kids. We were able to have a communal dinner with all of the tables which made our last night there a memorable one. There was one small hiccup and Jeff and Dan were quite responsive which was much appreciated. I highly recommend this space for large group gatherings. – Craig

We rented the Pine Lake Lodge for a small 75 person wedding..Although the rain limited much of our outdoor activities.. the sun came out long enough for the ceremony. Everyone commented on the venue, they liked sitting at the bar, playing pool and having small group conversations throughout the lodge during the reception. Everyone found the bedrooms comfortable and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. – Kathleen

This was an outstanding property to hold our family reunion (15 people, ages 2-75). The upstairs configuration fit our needs perfectly. The large dining room table was an ideal setting, allowing us to eat together for all of our meals. The living room was spacious and comfortable, and we had fun playing pool & darts in the evening. The large commercial kitchen has plenty of workspace, dishes and refrigerator/freezer space. We communicated the kitchen issue to Jeff & Dan, and they responded right away, apologized, and brought over a new set of pots & pans. They put plans in place to ensure the issue doesn’t reoccur and we were well compensated for our troubles. The large outdoor space was great for lawn games, volleyball, and the fire pit (with smores). The nearby lakes are pretty, with swimming beaches and boating available. We took a wonderful East & West Caroga Lake boat tour on Dan’s boat (not included). Jeff & Dan are wonderful hosts, and we highly recommend this beautiful lodge! – Dave

Awesome place. We had 14 people and it was not cramped at all, plenty of room. The bar was a great place to gather, we had a blast. I have been coming up to Pine Lake for over 30 years and it was a really cool to actually be staying at the lodge that reminded me of my childhood. Cannot wait to come back next year! – Steve

Incredibly wonderful GIANT restaurant-and-bar-and-hotel turned Airbnb. The industrial kitchen was great to cook in with a big group, there was seating enough for everyone to eat together for every meal, a huge backyard with a fire pit, a spacious and cozy living room with a massive TV, lots of windows in all the shared spaces and bedrooms that let in natural light, 3 season porch in the front, billiards and darts and board games, enough bathrooms and showers for our entire 14 person group, close to lovely hiking trails, across the street from a public access lake, and you could see so many stars at night. Would absolutely stay here again. We were so pleased with the space!!!! There were lots of bedrooms and beds and so many spaces to spend time, gather, and enjoy. There were some snags with internet but the hosts were incredibly communicative and accommodating around the issue. – Rachel

Our family had a great time at Jeff and Dan’s “Pine Lake Lodge Inn”! We had two adults with our four kids and their friends. Everything was in great shape when we arrived. The “gathering” room is fantastic with massive TV and couches for talking, TV, games or relaxing. The WiFi was great too for technology and work use as needed. Our kids played pool, darts, monopoly, yahtzee and ALL were provided with the rental. Dan and Jeff do a great job with their instructions on opening, closing and utilzing the place. Upstairs bedroom spaces are fantastic for people of all ages. Depending on time of year you can enjoy nearby skiing and snowshoeing within minutes. Our kids went to Royal Mountain all day! Dan and Jeff were extremely responsive and proactive before, during and after! I like a camp fire outside and they had plenty of wood so I didn’t need to bring my own. Great time for our family all the way around! – Justin
